See How Ice Cube Received Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

Three days after the release of the 25th anniversary edition of his second album “Death Certificate” which includes three new songs, Ice Cube is gets honored with the Hollywood Walk of Fame Star.

The entertainer received the honor yesterday at a ceremony in in California

Ice Cube thanked his parents Doris Benjamin and Hosea Jackson for their support in his showbiz endeavors.

Thank you mama for always supporting whatever I wanted to do, whether you was with it or not, you said, “As long as it kept you off the street, you can do it,”

Ice Cube whose real name is O’Shea Jackson Sr (born June 15, 1969), is an American rapper and actor. He began his career as a member of the hip-hop group C.I.A. and later joined the seminal rap group N.W.A (Niggaz Wit Attitudes) which he rose to fame with

He starred in films- “Boyz n the Hood,” “Barbershop,” “Ride Along” and “Friday.” Ice Cube was also a producer of the 2015 biopic “Straight Outta Compton.”

This event is coming three days after the release of the 25th anniversary edition of his second album “Death Certificate” which includes three new songs.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame comprises more than 2,600five-pointed terrazzo and brass stars embedded in the sidewalks along 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and three blocks of Vine Street in Hollywood, California and is a popular tourist site. The stars are permanent public monuments to achievement in the entertainment industry, bearing the names of actors, musicians, directors, producers, musical and theatrical groups, fictional characters, and others.

The Walk of Fame is administered by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and maintained by the self-financing Hollywood Historic Trust.

47% have been awarded in the motion pictures category, 24% in television, 17% in audio recording, 10% in radio, and less than 2% in the live performance category. Approximately 20 new stars are added to the Walk each year
